Anyone here tried netstumbler? If you were to make netstumbler better, what ideas incorporate into the current version of netstumbler?

i done WarDriving in London last night with netstumbler, results surprising, particularly because of the time and day.!

One feature that i want to add is to make netstumbler distinguish between WEP and WPA, or write a script that will do that.

I know netstumbler is an active scanner and also do not decrypt the packets, but it can easily distinguish between the flags (WEP or WPA have different flags)

Any know of some utility who does this

i know but i prefer netstumbler, and its too late to use it now,i found this

0001 ESS ("Infrastructure")
0002 IBSS ("Ad-Hoc")
0004 CF-Pollable
0008 CF-Poll Request
0010 Privacy ("WEP")
0020 Short Preamble
0040 PBCC
0080 Channel Agility
FF00 Reserved

I am writing a script that will automatically sort the encryption but i still pondering with the flag for WPA!
cheers
