JOB DESCRIPTION
This position will be responsible for the design and architecture of Level 3’s Global Security Program.
Interested and qualified candidates will be responsible for Level 3's Security Architecture and Roadmap program. A successful candidate will be required to design and prototype a cost effective and flexible security infrastructure model that can quickly adapt to current and evolving threats. This position relies upon a deep understanding of how infrastructure interoperates and the threat and risk models that need to be applied to properly protect that infrastructure, while still enabling the business to function quickly. The position will cover security disciplines such as Physical, Network, Applications, and data for Level 3's enterprise and product portfolios. The candidate will be responsible for managing the Security Architecture and Engineering teams.
Essential Functions AND qualifications necessary to perform this position include:
- 5+ years experience in IP networking environments ; specific emphasis on routing (OSPF, BGP, etc), client/server relationships, etc
- 3+ years experience in Operating system security ; Solaris, Windows, Linux
- 3+ years experience in Threat prediction and prevention techniques; risk analysis and methodologies
- Security Policy infrastructure; ISO17799-2005 and NIST 800-53
- Excellent stakeholder skills required
