The Story

The story behind this is that the person in question hacked my server and managed to steal my php coding for a game which he in turn sold on for profit.

I am really upset as i have spent over $2000 on the security of the site as the game grew but this guy attacked the area i couldn\\\'t strengthen... The server.

The Server

The server seems to be either a dedicated server or a Virtual Server. Due to this i can\'t get an account with the same providers. So i need someone who can get into their server, make a full clone of EVERYTHING on there and then pass into my possession.

Hmmm.. sounds kinda fishy to me.. if he stole YOUR code, why do you want to break into his server and steal HIS stuff?

1) Call the cops, file report
2) Subpoena the code, have 3rd party auditor verify code
3) Profit!

Nothing fishy mate, just that due to him selling my code my game is now one of many with the same code.

He could have sold his for more but i guess he didn\'t want to use his as more would have his features then.

Ifyour not interested thats fine, but i need to settle this with him somehow and he will not turn over the money from sales he made.

I am with thrill. If you can show that you had the code first, that it was sufficiently protected, that he did not have authorized access, and demonstrate that he was the one that broke in - let the cops handle it.

No one in there right mind here would touch what you are asking. That's because it is illegal.

Generally, breaking into anyone's system without their consent is considered illegal in any country. That is why it is so important for professional penetration testers to get explicit written permission of what they are allowed to "attack" BEFORE they perform any assessment. It is just good practice nd covers your butt in case the company tries to come back on you later.
