Proxies are always way too slow
Date: March 15, 2007 06:12PM

I can scan for proxies using AccessDiver but they're far too slow to use for anything involving logging in. If one being too slow is an issue, how could I ever log through multiple proxies? Is there a way too spoof/bounce efficiently without extensive UNIX knowledge on networking to simulate an IP?
Thank you for any information.

http://www.aliveproxy.com/fastest-proxies/ is the best I can do for you, buddy. It usually lists the public proxies with the best uptime.

Can I somehow log through more than one proxy at once? Firefox and IE only have 1 input field.

That link is splendid. Thank you.

I'm as white hat as they come, but for learning XSS I'm trying to get simple alerts to work on websites. I'm also interested for the sake of learning.

Proxy chains can help, but they're usually slow as all hell.

How would I go about setting up a proxy chain?

There's a lot of different methods to proxy chaining. There's programs to do it for you, calling other web proxies via web proxy, and other form of proxy chain guides available. I just found this site, and it lists a lot of web (CGI) proxies.

Tor is pretty fast in comparison to the elite-proxies I use. The response time of those elite proxies vary around 14-25 seconds. So that's pretty slow, but it's highly anonymous. I won't go surfing with that of corse. :)

well, i do agree Tor is pretty fast compared to the rest of the elite proxy. How about using Torpak? Personally i think torpak is much faster than tor, i just dont know why. But the sad thing is i can't use tor or torpak anymore here, cause the country has banned it. Bloody hell!!!!!!!

Just wondering, how does an isp block tor? By the ports? Can they do it by the open and exit nodes? Let me know..

I've always wanted to visit Dubai. If could get business there, I'd definitely make the time to fly out there.

So, they've banned Tor, but not ckers.org? I'd suggest rooting a couple of boxes and chaining encrypted traffic through them, but you seem to be a law abiding person. Have you considered SSH accounts + Tor? You should probably get a non-UAE friend to let you use theirs, as commercial ones will be logged and might not let you use Tor. Just a thought.

I re-sold SSH back in the webfringe days - the chargeback ratios were through the roof (as you might imagine). So no, I won't be doing that again. ;)
