Using a Proxy

Hi there
I had a question in my mind.
I know how to use a proxy for hiding our real IP and all that stuff.
But I have a 256 Kbps connection.
Is it even worth using a proxy chain?
When I use a proxy chain my work gets very very delayed.
So tell me all.....
Would u use a proxy if u had a 256 Kbps connection and can u also tell me what can be the recommended connection a person should have if he is using a proxy chain consisting of 3 anonymous proxies?

Your own bandwith isn't necessarily too important when dealing with proxies. The real factors to consider are the type of proxy, how many other people may be using it as well, and the overall response time.

the bandwidth used does not matter much. the real problem is the ping time, the latency.

when using the proxy chain the loading of the page will be most limited by the slowest proxy used. and the effect will be cumulative in latency time. the bandwidth is limited by the "thinnest" band of a proxy, but this effect is not cumulative
