I am trying to decrypt the image created text on tnid.us

I have already written a post on how to read all the possibilities with OCR (http://sla.ckers.org/forum/read.php?15,36823,36823#msg-36823), but I want to try cracking the string, as it would go so much faster (and less software to install).


I have tried eliminated common letters like N2tLG5e6t10I-dici1q662kZ2LtQ..

But I don't know.

Obviously the data is not stored, it is just generated. I don't think it is session driven. No cookies are set.

And it doesn't look like any encryption I have seen.

Here is what I have figured out from the strings. (sometimes, multiple letters could change the same letter in the image) (for example below in the J, y changed it and then the next y changed it as well)

It looks much like DES or Extended DES, used in PHP's Crypt().
