What are your favourite sites?
Posted by: Jizzabel

If this has been asked before or it's a lame question feel free to banish me to hell.

Where do you guys go when you're not hacking or whatever it is you boffins do? Do you browse security maling lists? Surf for granny porn? Where do you point your browser in your spare time?

When I'm not thinking about breaking something on the internet, I don't really surf it much. Usually news sites and links people send me.

Otherwise, I'm playing Starcraft, out for a walk, doing homework and I'm going to get back into paintball soon.

Oh. I visit Nexopia.com once in awhile too. But that usually falls into 'breaking stuff'.

This is my favorite site, but when no new content makes its way to the front-page, or the forums I usually go through a routine looking for amusement by visiting http://www.entensity.net, http://fazed.org, and then http://wtfpeople.com (in that order). Then I stroll over to http://4chan.org, http://7chan.org, and http://encyclopediadramatica.com to see what site or person is being trolled and raided for the day. After that my internet journey is over, boredom strikes, and I try to finish programming (which I never do because I'm so damn lazy) while listening to bangin' bass via Rotterdam, Gabber, Hardcore, Terrorcore, and Speedcore Shoutcast streams. While I'm doing this I'm constantly raping this site with the refresh button waiting for some new enlightenment, vulnerability concept, or relative theory to ponder. That's pretty much my time on the intertubes.

Nothing that really interests me other then writing articles or following RSnake's or Jeremiah's blog or a couple of random blogs I have to keep myself updated, and sometimes read the security section on DIGG, I only have 2 feedz in my browser: RSnake's and Jeremiahs. Or toying with some new ideas, but I never visit any other sites. :) kinda boring I know, but I get a kick out of experimenting with my own code and stuff.

Generally, I don't do alot of idle browsing, between work and breaking stuff, I get sick of the interwebs. But after reading the many feeds I go through a day, I'll usually wander over to http://buzzmachines.com/ to get new things to play with that make noise =)

Hmmm. Mostly I read news sites like Digg, if you can consider half the stuff on there news.

But I do occasionally go on 4chan's /b/ for some laughs, same with ytmnd. But my favorite site would have to be my site, http://commabunny.com which at this moment is being redesigned at the moment.

Probably the one I am on most is http://www.b3ta.com/ cos it's in tune with my sense of humour (childish). I also like http://www.fat-pie.com/ for Salad Fingers, http://johnny.ihackstuff.com/ for google dorks. Maddox http://maddox.xmission.com/ Postsecret http://postsecret.blogspot.com/ I could go on forever. I love teh interwebs!

The infamous "Real Life Raid" at Hal Turner's house in North Bergen, New Jersey. /b/tards from 4chan, 7chan, and 420chan along with some from YTMND, and ebaumsworld are going to be there.

I read local new sites sometimes, mostly surf for operating system development stuff.
And also read some newsgroups.

Hmm good question. I must admit that I don't do anything else than reading blogs, news, wikipedia or write on various boards. My daily feed reading actually takes me around about 30 minutes, depends on how much you guys write ;)

I seen you there but they banned me for ddosing.

I usually visit a few forums for fun and the rest of the time researching stuff.

Nah I don't think so. I live no where near there and the only time I will be anywhere near there is during the summer. I have a vacation trip planned to Boston planned for early August.

What? Nobody surfs for porn in their spare time? I must say I admire your sobriety!

That's because this was about the sites we view in our spare time. Porn is allocated its own designated time slot, and location ;).

Surf for porn? Why bother with the terabytes of it I already have? ;)

I find porn is added regularly to my Āµtorrent web interface by various people I've given access to. So it's all good for me. With over a terabyte of storage it'll be a while until I need to remove any too.

1TB? darn... I'm way into the middle ages when it comes to hardstuff stuff. my biggest HDD is 80 gig, and I use 40GIG of it. It's an old PIII celeron 1300mhz but it spins like a kitten :) I do have the cash though, if anyone is wondering, but i don't fancy new stuff,

also the newest PC's (3-4 years) have a tracking chip baked unto motherboards with a unique number, with which they can identify you remotely. Not really my fear, but I digg old stuff :) makes me almost sentimetal ;)

Oh my main PC only has a 60GB hdd, of which I use about 15gb. But then I have my dads old desktop as a file sharing PC. It has it's original 40gb hdd, another one I had laying around, two 320s I bought and one 500 I recently added. It's used by everyone in the house as it runs the Āµtorrent with the web interface which everyone uses.

When Im not here I usually read digg or play continuum (http://trenchwars.org). But recently I met IceShamen, and he joined my squad, so now when I play continuum I don't do much playing either.

I check up on my websites, add new content and what not. Chat on IM and do email.
