I'm sorry, but those guys weren't emo, they were punks. An emo wouldn't have yelled abuse, instead they'd think they see some deep philosophical meaning behind queuing for a movie and written a song about it.

Besides, the class of nerd and punk aren't mutually exlusive, here's a photo of me when I was taking my last exam before the summer:

Though I did get rid of that within about 10 days as I couldn't stand wearing my headset.

Nerds rule... I actually wanted to write an article (non-ha.ckers.org related) about how many hackers have taken martial arts as a percentage. It's pretty substantial.

Not only martial arts, but sports that aim at self improvement, usually non team sports.
I do rock climbing, have done skydiving but I can't afford to do that any more and have been seriously considering some form of martial arts for my final year at uni (while it's dirt cheap).

Oddly enough, I took Kung Fu for several years prior to my computer interests and was thinking about taking it again soon.

It's not odd, it's very very normal for this field.

I must be destined for security then, since I took it before I got into computers. =P

As did I... 12 years in total... 8 years of Kenpo Karate, 1 year of Shotokan Karate, and 3 years of Nibukikan Ju Jitsu (taught the advanced class). I got into computers about 1/2 way through my first 8 years of Kenpo.
