I'm still amazed that EN-GB languages use such date format: mm/dd/yy
In my country we use: dd/mm/yy

seems more logic to it to start with day/month/year

When people write a letter, the usually put the month first.
When people post in a forum, the month is usually first.
I find it natural to go mm/dd/yy.

But, I like the metric system id! I LIKE IT! :(

I'm still amazed Americans don't drive left like the english do, but I guess the Dutch and Germans had so much influence in the beginning, beating some sense into Americans :))

Same thing with Celsius and Farenheit, Inch and cm.

It's weird that people use inch: it's 2.54 cm. While 1 cm = 10 mm (seems more logic)
Same with 0 degree celsius: zero is freezingpoint, not some wacky number.

Ghehe.. it's a f**ked up system.

Supposedly, 0 degrees F is the approximate freezing point for a mixture of a 50% saltwater solution it's supposed to approximate the freezing point for blood (as I heard it), with 100 degrees approximating human body temperature. *shrug* it kinda makes sense

Celcius has always made the most sense to me. Likewise I use the metric system, though I do know the imperical system too.

I always get slightly peeved when British peopel don't know their hieight in metres or their weight in kg. I don't care if this country uses the imperical system for those things, you need do know the other systems.

And driving on the left has always annoyed me. Sweden switched in the 60s, why can't the UK? Sure it causes confusion for a day or two, but that's part of the fun

The only reason I like Fahrenheit over Celsius is the numbers represent finer units of scale.

Same with kilos, I shouldn't have to mention a decimal place when mentioning weight in casual conversation.

196 pounds = 88 kilograms
195 pounds = 88 kilograms
194 pounds = 88 kilograms

People should be weighed in hectograms!
