WLM formerly known as MSNM issues.

I've figured out something recently. I always thought Windows Live Messenger(WLM/MSNM) had connectivity issues or something, or perhaps I did with the service. But it turns out, it just hates older versions of itself. Anyone using a multiprotocol messenger (Trillian, Gaim, aMSN, etc) is probably using the older MSNM protocols. It's why alot of my friends don't get my messages on WLM and we use Google Talk/The phone. But, after convincing them to quickly hop on the latest beta build, it's all fine. Not sure if this is by design or if M$ wants people to upgrade, but if you have any lost message problems similar to mine, ask your friends what messenger client they are using ( or draw them a message. I think journalviewer is still required. )

There needs to be a browser-based whiteboard system. Kinda off topic but seems like a good idea.
