URLs with "-signs in Firefox

Hi,

I recently stumbled over some things and wanted request a page with a "-Sign in the URL ( like /index.htm?"haha" ). Unfortunately Firefox keeps convert this to %22 ( /index.htm?%22haha%22 ). Anyone know a way to stop Firefox do that?

The double quote character? The browser encodes non-alphanumeric characters with the exception of the backslash, forwardslash, period, and a few others.

You can use a proxy to send it un-encoded. While not strictly RFC compliant modern webservers don't complain.
