The Company i work for is building a new power station.
I work as Telecommunication technican on this company.
Today, another company was there and i told one of them (i don't think he was good in his job) to run a CAT6 to some engineers Notebook so he can access our company-network and internet.
When i wanted to check his work 2 hours later i saw he did the work.
I took a closer look at it ... and for a while of about 10 minutes i just stood there and looked like "WTF IS THIS" ... well ... this stupid shit didn't use a RJ45 connector ... he just stuck this CAT6 into the slot ... INTO THE PCMIA SLOT ...
Hell after that i was confused, actually i was very confused and got to go drink like 5 liters of coffee to get this thing straight.
I ran 20,000 feet worth of Cat6 on my last job, and it was a pain in the ass, but I didn't have to do a crimping, or punch-downs. It was still a mess though.
