whassup peeps.

I'm outcast...
i am a computer boy turned freak who loves computer and internet. my ha.ck.ing skills are still of a noob and i have been around this board before but never joined (my mistake). i haven't been a member of any group although i read of them but never joined so i miss experience which i hope i can get here. i hope that in time i too can contribute to this site.

My area's of interest are network security, exploits, server hacking, bot networks.

although they are my are interest i don't have a lot of experience in them. i'll start reading a little around this board.

can someone give me some advice?

In time you will here more from me...:)

Well id is your man for network security, he's around the board, but it depends on what your questions are I suppose. Mostly what we talk about hear is web application security in particular, but given that a lot of us have networking backgrounds I'm sure we can answer any particular questions you might have.

read, lots.

if you don't find it interesting, quit, it's not for you.

other than that ask specific questions that can't be found via googling...

become one with the force.

anything else?

a good start would be the white papers that you can find on packetstorm security
http://www.packetstormsecurity.org/papers/whitepapers/

and other good docs on www.milw0rm.com ...

I'm a type that starts at it out of the blue, and afterwards reading the f***ing manual backwards to find some clues. But I've never been into manuals really, they can help but it's far more cooler to explore the seven seas on ones own. :)

I find that a large number of issues I come across are not documented anywhere. Manuals are nice but they only cover what they cover. Most of the bleeding edge stuff we talk about isn't documented anywhere but here - where we type it ourselves.
