Hello everyone. My name is Jon.. duh.

I'm the owner of a lovely webmaster forum called WickedFire. It's lots of fun, but nothing like this stuff, which has fascinated me for over a decade. I'm a huge fan of RSnake's and WhiteAcid's, and definitely appreciate a place like this for late night research-a-thons. Been lurking here for quite a while and finally decided to join (also because back at my forum it pisses me off to no end when people lurk, leech info, and don't give anything back!) and hopefully help out a bit here if I can.

Keep up the fantastic work kiddies.

Thought I would introduce myself. I'm a professional lurker and information sponge. I'm always looking to increase my skill sets and contribute what I can.

Ps. I use my real name because I feel you should be proud of what you post and the work you do.

Not to mention that you're no longer delaying the inevitable by providing identity thieves information they're going to get anyway. ;)

Welcome aboard!

As soon as I can move everything to our new mail server I can put reverse DNS entries to fix the mail problem.

Anyway, glad you figured it out. Welcome to the forum.

Hahah... maybe that's our turing test - if you use crappy webmail you don't get to use sla.ckers.org. ;) Ditto on figuring it out. That's a pain in the ass, and something we'll fix soon enough.

Well, hello everybody

I'm just a noob really, trying to soak up the information about information security to further my pursuit of security knowledge. (and help out a fellow noob when I can) I really have no big 'claim to fame', nor any new revolutionary techniques, so you'll most likely see me lurking and posting stupid questions.

Asking questions may be revolutionary, you never know. Ask the right question and sometimes a great conversation can ensue. Either way, no worries. Everyone had to start somewhere. Welcome!

There's a heap of information about you but you're into privacy? Reminds me of that guy who was sure the .gov was after him so he recorded his life, so that there would be evidence people could follow if he ever disappeared. Funny. Anyway, welcome, mrbene!

Hello friends,
Its a pleasure to be here.. I am a newbie, trying to learn things. Know lot many, but trying to gain expertise on the same. As of now, i am involved in corporate security consulting (specially for webapps). This was a brief introduction of mine. I'd be glad to add best of brains here as buddies of mine. I am sure, i would get a nice response from slackers :).

Rsnake, whiteacid can i add u as buddies? Am a great fan of you guyz.

Haha, yeah. The first step in taking control of your "digital shadow" is actual recognizing that there's lots of information out there. Mind you, if anyone were able to find my current mailing address I'd be impressed.

Haha! Unfortunately I didn't get that one :( I should clarify that I'm looking for my current physical mailing address, as opposed to my current electronic mail address.
