Welcome, verT!c4L, I'm sure you'll learn a lot over the coming months if you are new to Linux. It's a wide world out there... although I still think id will probably try to dissuade you away from Linux and to BSD, but that's a religious debate left for another day. :)

Hi,

I was a silent reader for a couple of weeks, but now I wanted to register for taking part at the discussion. I'm 22 from Germany studying computer science. I like the professionality here in these boards. No useless spam, very informative threads. Actually, I try to learn as much as possible about XSS and SQL-Injection.

For the OS question: Most of the time I use WinXP, but got a dualboot-system with Fedora Core 6.

Hey, backbone! Always nice to have the Romanians on the site! Btw, I know someone who is interested in interviewing a phisher for a news article. If you know anyone who is interested, please PM me and I'll get them introduced.

Just thought I'd give a quick hello.
A bit of background:
I've been a "computer enthusiast" since the day before forever, however I took a break from the web and security about 7 years ago to focus on music and dsp (cf. http://lowtechlive.com *shameless plug*). But now I'm back in the game with a web programming gig, and I thought it was about time to refresh my knowledge.
Anyway, I've been really impressed with the general knowledge level and openness of the people around here, so I thought it was about time to make myself known.

Hello all. I have been reading ha.ckers.org and the xss cheat sheet on and off for a while, and just discovered these forums. I am currently taking programming classes for desktop app development, but prefer web apps. I have been pretty interested in xss stuff for a while now, but am no expert. And I also run FBSD and am not a linux fan. No MS software in my house anywhere. I've learned alot from (ha|sla).kers, org, and hope to be able to give a little back.

P.S. Sorry for the name, but it's been my irc/online name for years. :P
