I have acer aspire 9110.

It has a wireless card onboard intel i think. And it works perfectly.

Now i want to add an pcimcia card i have. It Dlink Airplus XtremeG
model: DWL-G650

I add it and when i type iwconfig it returns me only the onboard one. here are the results :

lo        no wireless extensions.

eth0      no wireless extensions.

wmaster0  no wireless extensions.

wlan0     IEEE 802.11abg  ESSID:&amp;quot;&amp;quot;
          Mode:Managed  Frequency:2.412 GHz  Access Point: Not-Associated

Have you any ideas on how to make it work with the dlink wireless card..?

            <description><![CDATA[Are you booting Backtrack in a VMware and then trying to see the PCMCIA card?  The VMware will not have hardware access to the PCMCIA socket.  If you are booting Backtrack directly from a CD or USB you should see it as WLAN0.]]></description>
