Compression is totally dependent on the data, if you have a billion "a"s in a file you can compress that to "a"x10^9, pretty good compression eh?

However compress a video stream in which each frame is made up of 307200 pixels x 3 colors for each pixel (typical for a 640x480 video), which changes every frame, and there isn't a whole lot of room for compression past what the video codec has already done.

Can't be true, for real.

No compression algorithm can do this type of huge compression. If some claim they can, they lie and probably make use of hidden partitions or system storage making reference to the file as an image. Would be cool though; putting 50.000 DVD's on a USB stick. But if anyone can do this, and yeah I mean compressing a whole DVD losless to 561Kb, give me a call.

Most likely it was just a reference, I even have a sneaking suspicion the 561 KiloByte file was a .torrrent :p
